Care after a replacement surgery:

Hip replacement:

After a hip replacement surgery regular exercise and following the post-op precaution are crucial for a gradual return to everyday life. Our Physical Therapists will provide a tailored program considering of the patient’s specific surgical approach, goals, tolerance, and pain level. Our therapists provide an accelerated rehab program where the patient is seen more frequently for the first 2 – 3 weeks. Our therapist work in collaboration with your orthopedic surgeon to follow any guidelines while making an individualized Plan of Care.

Knee replacement

After a Knee Joint Replacement Surgery rehabilitation is a crucial stage. We start our therapy services right after the patient is discharged home and provide intensive therapy by visiting the patient more frequently for the first 2-3 weeks. We strive to improve range of motion, strength, decrease edema and regain the patient’s functional independence. Our Physical Therapist will collaborate closely with your surgeon to develop a Plan of Care to achieve the highest possible outcome in the home setting. A Registered Nurse will assist with incision management and pain management.

Spinal injuries and spinal disorders

In the case of spinal surgeries, it is important to ensure the patient follows the spinal precautions prescribed by the surgeon. Our therapist will teach the correct body mechanics, promoting safe functional transfer techniques. Physical therapy at home helps the patient get the maximum benefit of surgery and helps the patient to get back in good physical condition.
